AgTexas Offers $200 Scholarships to Members
As part of our commitment to promote our Young, Beginning and Small Farmers and Ranchers program, AgTexas is happy to offer a $200 scholarship for members to attend the 2009 Texas AgriLIFE EXTENSION Service presentation of “Planning the Return to the Farm/Ranch” in Lubbock, July 9 – 11. If you are interested, please stop by the Brownfield, Levelland, Lubbock, Ralls or Seminole branch office to pick up a brochure and an application. The registration fee for the event is $495 (this allows 4 family members to attend) and AgTexas will pay the first $200. Registration deadline is June 30, 2009.

AgTexas Re-Elects Directors
The 2009 director election was held at the Annual Stockholders’ Meeting in Stephenville on April 24, 2009. Director Kinley Sorrells was re-elected to serve three more years representing Region I and Kevin Buxkemper to represent Region III. Regions I and III were the only vacancies to be filled this year. This is the second term as director for both men.
